Founder
Dr. Johnathon Anderson is a research scientist and Associate Professor at the UC Davis School of Medicine, specializing in regenerative medicine, stem cell therapies, and translational drug development. His experience spans the full arc from early-stage discovery through execution of multi-site clinical trials.
In parallel with his commercial leadership, Dr. Anderson serves as a Program Officer at the UC Davis School of Medicine Dean's Office. In this capacity, he helps direct funding acquisitions, regulatory and clinical development strategy for advanced stem cell and gene therapies, recently securing the FDA’s prestigious Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation.
In addition to leading Peptide Systems, Dr. Anderson serves as an Editor for several scientific, peer-review research journals, where he helps shape the future of regenerative medicine research.

He holds BS and PhD degrees from the University of California, Davis, and has been awarded competitive research fellowships including the NSF GRFP, NIH T32, and NIH KL2 fellowships. His peer-reviewed publications have been cited over 16,000 times, and he is co-inventor on patents in advanced stem cell and exosome-based therapeutic technologies. Dr. Anderson is a participating, active member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the American Peptide Society (APS).
He has conducted research training at the National Institutes of Health, Karolinska Institute (Stockholm), and Oxford University (UK), and outside the lab, he is a loving father and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt.
